Imamia Mission Banner

The Holy Kaba (where Muslims must visit once during their lifetime) for Pilgrimage. Imamia Mission (Madressa Jafferia) is a small organisation that was founded in the early 1990's by our Founder Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Kazmi, who upon moving from Bradford, W. Yorkshire in 1990 found that there was no religious education establishment for Shia Youth. So he set about in his efforts to establish a Religious school.

Imamia Mission was brought about by the actions of a few hard working individuals, whom shall remain anonymous though their efforts shall be rewarded by Allah (God or Lord). The organisation also received the spiritual guidance of Maulana Hassan Raza Ghadeeri and various others and helped the community through a difficult period.

Whoever wants to be a leader should educate himself before educating others. Before preaching to others he should first practice himself. Whoever educates himself and improves his own morals is superior to the man who tries to teach and train others. . . - (Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S)

Syed Ishtiaq Kazmi collected children every Saturday and Sunday, and classes started weekly where an Aalim from Leeds was picked up and we used the Home of a local Momin to hold these activities. Then we moved to another Momins empty property and classes started there. A different Aalim was brought Classes continued till the Momineen approached another Momin and we used his empty offices till the classes carried on.

After a while, we decided to purchase our own Madressa, to avoid sending the children of the Community to Mosques of a different sect. We came upon a House and made an offer and it was accepted. This house at first served our needs, but the need of the Community was growing so Our Founder by hand rebuilt the building brick by brick and wall for wall on his own. This is how our organisation was created.
